Art of Art and Soul

Overseeing all aspects of the restaurant, Chef Art is the soul of Art and Soul. “I grew up in a small southern town and my cuisine is certainly a reflection of my upbringing. I look forward to offering our guests a little bit of our heart and soul in all of our dishes,” said Chef Art.
It's Tequila Season!
At ArtBar, new cocktails are created as often as the seasons change. That's the beauty of using the freshest ingredients!
Up for spring, artisanal tequilas including Ocho “San Augustin” Anejo from the village of Arandas (Mexico ) with lavender, white pepper, espresso and lime; certified organic Ixa Organic Blanco (a tree is planted for each bottle sold); and Penacho Azteca Reposado, with fruity apple accents and a long finish. The craft tequilas will be blended into a selection of cocktails, perfect for sipping on the outdoor patio during D.C.’s warm Spring nights.
Come by and try "The New Deal" or "The Quorum." Find the entire cocktail menu here. See you on the patio!
Just steps away from the U.S. Capitol, Art and Soul boasts an atmosphere of relaxed elegance and true southern hospitality. The Capitol Hill restaurant offers guests a seasonal and regionally inspired menu highlighting simple, honest food from local farms. The result of this approach is food that is straightforward and pays tribute to chefs Art Smith and Wes Morton’s southern roots and decades of Southern cooking. Chef Wes grew up in the kitchen, and his love for cooking can be traced back to Abeville, La., where every Sunday the family would gather for a lunch of southern food. Art and Soul carries out that tradition of sharing meals and bringing people together around the table.
Crab & Beer Wednesdays Return!
